Diglis and Lincombe Fish Passes

JJF Ltd was appointed by Kier, on behalf of the Canal & River Trust, to deliver £1,100,000 of fibre-reinforced concrete (FRC) works for two new fish pass structures at Diglis and Lincombe on the River Severn. The project formed part of the wider “Unlocking the Severn” initiative, a major environmental programme aimed at restoring natural fish migration routes and improving biodiversity along the river. Works involved the precise installation of durable FRC elements to create robust, long-lasting structures capable of performing in a demanding aquatic environment.

Operating within sensitive ecological and riverside settings, JJF Ltd ensured all works were carried out with minimal environmental impact while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The successful completion of the Diglis Fish Pass in Worcester marked a significant milestone in reconnecting over 150 miles of river habitat, supporting the return of migratory species. This project highlights JJF Ltd’s expertise in delivering specialist concrete solutions for environmentally critical infrastructure.
